Cork City F.C. enjoy a good season so far, as the Green-Whites are currently on 2nd position in the standings in the Irish Premier Division (5-3-0 14-2), only two points behind Dundalk F.C.

In the matter of fact, more important for my bet is, that the hosts showed good efficiency in attack in the previous three games at “Turners Cross”, scoring a total of ten goals against Limerick F.C. (5-0), Galway United F.C. (2-0) and Derry City F.C. (3-0).

Longford Town F.C., on the other hand, is newly promoted team in this league, with obvious problems in defense since the beginning of the new campaign (the hosts conceded two or more goals in five of their previous nine games in 2015), but with enough potential in attack to score against any team in this league.

Karl Sheppard (striker / 3 goals) is injured and will miss this match for the home team, while John O’Flynn (striker / 1 goal) is doubtful.

However, the hosts still own enough potential in attack in the face of Billy Dennehy (midfielder / 2 goals), Kieran Djilali (midfielder / 2 goals), Gavan Holohan (midfielder / 1 goal), etc.

The Red-Whites will be without Pat Sullivan (defender) and Ayman Ben Mohamed (midfielder).

I expect more than two goals in this match between Cork City F.C. and Longford Town F.C.
