- The Angels took a 6-3 victory in the opening game of this series yesterday (Houston Astros – Los Angeles Angels 3-6 on 17.04.2015) and considering the current situation, I expect another game with more than seven runs today.
- Dallas Keuchel (1-0 with a 1.29 ERA), who will start for the Astros, showed good form in his previous two starts this season, as the right-hander surrendered 9 hits and 2 runs while striking out seven over fourteen innings against the Indians in the opening day of the season (2-0) and against Texas Rangers last Sunday (6-4).
- On the other hand, Keuchel has been pretty inconsistent in his previous seven starts versus the Angles, as he gave up 3 hits and 1 run over seven innings in his last starts versus Los Angeles on Sept. 14, 2014 (6-1), but four or more runs in four of the previous six.
- The Astros have scored only 26 runs in their previous ten games this season (2.60 goals per game), but I expect better efficiency in offense from them today, given the fact that the Angels will send to the mound C.J. Wilson (1-1 with a 3.95 ERA), who went 4-4 with a 4.50 ERA in nine starts against Houston over the last three years.
- The left-hander yielded 8 runs on 15 hits while walking four over 8 1/3 innings in his last two starts versus the Astros.
- I expect at least eight runs in the middle game of this series between Houston Astros and Los Angeles Angels.
