Manchester United is a team that has been under a lot of criticism of late but the match against Tottenham just goes to show that the Fergie spirit still burns in them.
Pundits and fans [along with myself] would argue that it was the best football we’ve seen in eons from Man United.
Michael Carrick showed how he has been missed these past several weeks. He put Fellaini through and the Belgian took no chances, stroking onto the ball before dispatching it low, left-footed, past Hugo Lloris.
Mata sent a corner kick to Fellaini who got his head to it but was half way cleared by Nacer Chadli.(As if it had been a tennis serve) Fate would have it as Michael Carrick returned the ball from 18 yards straight into the net to put the visitors 2-0 down [ a feat of accuracy].
After much controversy over his boxing video, Wayne Rooney showed how business is transacted on the pitch and even getting a few laughs over the whole matter. Rooney threaded the ball through the legs of Eric Dier then nipped around him to collect it again and score. He then celebrated his goal by staging a mock boxing fight and falling to the ground.
I think Alan Shearer summed it up pretty well when he said playing Wazza upfront is a no-brainer.
The result comes as a boost for United in their bid for European football only having been knocked out of the FA cup by the Gooners earlier in the week.
With Spurs K’od, it seems United have found their feet under Louis Van Gaal. They looked more passionate, calm and blood thirsty for goals. Whether they will dip in form remains to be seen (I seriously doubt it) but the statement from Old Trafford is “We are Manchester United and you should fear us!”

Let’s not get carried away with this victory over Spurs.
Liverpool are the most in form team in the league, expect them to beat Swansea tonight and they will be favorites against United at Anfield. Beat them, only then we are talking about securing top 4 finish
If they are the most inform, what happened between them and Blackpool. Couldn’t dispatch a relegation threatened Blackpool in Championship. For Liverpool,I don’t think so! This is soccer, you can’t really tell what happens next. Nobody is favorite. If itz ur day,u win it,if it isn’t,u get knocked out like Waza
