Manchester United are in the market for a top quality central defender, the question is, who will they eventually sign.
With other reinforcements needed for midfield and attack as well, United will not really look to sign two central defenders.
They already splashed cash to secure Marcos Rojo last summer and funds should also be invested to fill the position of right back.
So who will that man be? Lately, United have been linked with a move for Valencia star and Argentine international Nicolas Otamendi.
However, reports now suggest that German international Mats Hummels who has been a long term target for the Red Devils is available for sale as well.
According to Daily Star, Manchester United have been given the go ahead by Dortmund to sign Hummels.
As per the provided link, Manchester United chiefs are confident of securing the services of the World Cup winner for £25m. Hummels is one of the best defenders in the world and such a price will be a bargain.
Again, it remains to be seen who will Manchester United eventually sign. Should they go for Otamendi or Hummels?

Nicolas Otamendi because Mat Hummel refuse Man-U since. So no need for him, he will lack Man-U spirit.
Ottamendi is a kind of player who would not rest until the dust is down, of course typical s. american but in the case of hummels, he is a typical German player, never allow himself to be over cooked by the opponents.
Easy Hummels!! He’s a few levels above Otamendi and a leader in the back. Phil Jones and Smalling are seeming to come through finally. 1 CB is all we need by the looks of it.
