Arsenal Ratings vs Monaco – So Close yet So Far

Arsenal went in for a miracle against Monaco in the second leg of Champions League R16 tie but once again failed to qualify for the quarter finals.
The horrific display in the first leg eventually cost them a place in the last eight and every gunner supporter is disappointed.
The North Londoners were heroic last night and scored two goals to level the tie on aggregate but eventually dumped out on away goal rule.
Arsenal were so close yet so far as goals from star striker Giroud and substitute Aaron Ramsey were not enough.
Unlike the first leg, Arsenal’s defense line was impressive and they successfully kept the much needed clean sheet.
Ozil was brilliant in attack alongwith Giroud but little came from Cazorla and Alexis. Surprisingly, in form Aaron Ramsey who was impressive against West Ham was kept on the bench. He did come on in the second half and changed the game.
