The Jets look for their sixth win in a row as they travel from Edmonton to Vancouver on Tuesday night to battle with the Canucks at Rogers Arena. The Winnipeg Jets are on a tear right now and are really doing their best to make sure they get into the Western Conference playoffs and a win on Tuesday night would go a long way into securing their spot.
The Canucks (42-26-4) have also put together a strong stretch, winning six of eight as they try to improve their playoff odds. They’re second in the Pacific Division, two points ahead of third-place Calgary and four in front of Los Angeles and the postseason cutoff. Vancouver is coming off its fourth victory in five games, a 3-1 triumph at Arizona on Sunday. Vancouver plays six of its final 10 regular-season contests at Rogers Arena as it sandwiches three-game homestands around a four-game road trip.
The Canucks and Jets are among five Canadian teams in playoff position, and if that holds, it’ll be the first time that many qualify since 2004.
