Nashville is tied with the Rangers, Canadiens, and the Ducks for the top spot overall in the league standings as all four teams have 93 points and while the regular season title is just that it is still nice to be seen as the best team heading into the playoffs even if it is just on paper.
The Ducks have been business as usual for the better part of two seasons and will look to claim their second straight President’s Trophy but you can be sure that Ryan Getzlaf and the crew would trade both of them back for a chance at winning another Stanley Cup. Anaheim (43-20-7) snapped a three-game slide with Friday’s 2-1 win at Minnesota, improving to 27-1-7 in one-goal games this season.
-Nashville continues to put itself behind the 8-ball by allowing the first goal in 13 of the last 14 contests
-Rinne is 1-2-2 with a 3.13 goals-against average in his last five games against Anaheim, getting pulled once. That’s still better than Carter Hutton’s 3.45 GAA in a pair of losses.
I’ll take Ducks ML.
