The Minnesota Timberwolves and Toronto Raptors meet Wednesday night at the Air Canada Centre.
The Minnesota Timberwolves hope to snap a five-game losing streak. On the season, the Timberwolves are averaging 97.7 points on 43.5 percent shooting and are allowing 106 points on 48.8 percent shooting.
Minnesota is running out of healthy players with guards Gary Neal (ankle) and Ricky Rubio (ankle) and big men Nikola Pekovic (ankle) and Kevin Garnett (knee) all listed as questionable. The nagging injuries are in addition to the prolonged absence of forwards Robbie Hummel (hand), Anthony Bennett (leg) and Shabazz Muhammad (finger). The rash of injuries leaves Minnesota with only two real offensive threats in guard Kevin Martin (19.7 points) and rookie forward Andrew Wiggins (15.7 points).
The Toronto Raptors also need a win after losing five of their last seven games. On the season, the Raptors are averaging 104.5 points on 45.4 percent shooting and are allowing 101.3 points on 46 percent shooting.
