Arsenal ripped Aston Villa apart yesterday to go level on points with 4th place Southampton and only one point behind 3rd place Man United.
The Gunners were rampant from the word go as they earned a 5-0 victory against Paul Lambert’s men who had no answers to Arsenal’s brilliant play.
Arsenal’s record signing Mesut Ozil was arguably the best player on the field for the Gunners as his brilliant flick provided an assist for the opener and scored a sublime finish to make it 2-0.
Goals from, Cazorla, Giroud, Walcott, Ozil and Bellerin completed the thrashing as Arsenal are fully prepared for next weekend’s all important North London derby against arch rivals Tottenham Hotspur who also won their last match with ease.
Arsenal did not have their best player of this season Alexis Sanchez yet enough quality upfront to make up for his absence.
