Manchester United Close in to Sign Superstar

Manchester United mainly wasted the winter transfer window and did not secure the signings for important positions.
The Red Devils needed top quality defenders in January but Louis van Gaal had other ideas.
Yesterday, the Old Trafford club were rescued by summer signing Daley Blind with a late goal against West Ham. It seems that Van Gaal has spent million but the team has no way forward.
Top 4 qualification is a must else the season will be regarded as a failure. Fortunately, United are still in decent position but the competition is tough with Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool chasing as well.
Whatever the case, United must sign defenders next summer to improve the quality of the squad and further progress.
They mainly need a top central defender as well as a right full back and for the latter Barcelona’s Daniel Alves is strongly linked.
According to reports, Manchester United are closing in to sign the Brazilian international on a free transfer next summer when his contract with the Catalan giants expires.
As per the provided link, Man United are ready to offer the 31 year old veteran defender  £15.6m contract over three years to join them.
Alves is still one of the best full backs around and can contribute to Van Gaal’s side. Will he join the Devils in summer, only time will tell.
