Colombian international and Porto star striker Jackson Martinez is one of the top strikers in Europe at the moment.
The South American has been linked with a move away from the Primeira Liga side for quite some time and in the summer transfer window he will leave the club.
Martinez claimed:
“In the summer I’ll leave Porto for a new team.”
As per the provided Daily Star link, numerous premier league clubs are interested in luring him including the likes of Man United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham.
Who will win the race to secure his services? Only time will tell but latest reports are suggesting that Manchester United are closing in to secure the signing of €37m rated Jackson Martinez after a successful scouting session.
The 28 year old striker was being watched by Man United scouts as he scored in a 2-0 win over Moreirense.
As per the provided Metro link, Spurs are the front runners but United can be a serious option. The Devils can always match the transfer fee and pay him more wages than the North London club.
This season, in 29 appearances, Martinez has directly contributed in 29 goals (25 goals and 9 assists)
There is no doubt that Martinez will be a quality addition to Manchester United’s attack.
However, if he does eventually join Manchester United, who will he replace? compatriot Radamel Falcao? or veteran Dutch star Robin van Persie?

I reckon Falcao will be the one to go mainly due to the money amount it will cost to keep him. Sorry actually cos I like him and he is strong on the pitch. RvP has the edge but hes not at his best just yet. Put Rooney back up front and RvP will get better
