No mystery now that Manchester United need a central defender to boost the quality of their back line.
In the last summer transfer window, the only main central defense signing was Argentine star Marcos Rojo.
Although the former Sporting star has been decent and perhaps better than other United center backs but definitely not up the the standard needed.
Hence, the Red Devils will have to sign an experienced center back one who can manage the line well and solve United’s defensive dilemma.
According to latest reports, the name linked with a move to Manchester United is former Manchester City defender Stefan Savic.
The 24 year old Montenegro star currently plays for Fiorentina but as per the provided link, talks have been held and United are close to signing Savic in $22.5 million deal.
Savic has been regular for Serie A side Fiorentina this season having made 24 appearances for the club thus far.
Savic is a decent defender but surely cannot be called World Class and it will be surpprising if United are looking at him to solve the defensive concerns and become leader.
In the summer window, United will have ample time to decide their options and must bring someone who for sure will solve the problem once and for all.
In your Opinion, Should Manchester United sign Stefan Savic?

Louis van Gaal only chance to win games; buy, buy, buy expensive players like other manager Jose Mourinho –
Can’t believe so much credit for being great managers? Wonder how many wins their teams would get without spending 20 / 30 / 40 + Million on players to improve their teams?
Number managers, who use young players, plus few super stars have their teams playing great & could build great teams with major budget!
Should Manchester United sign Stefan Savic? – Definitely NOT!
United need to sign someone with the ability to match his reputation PLUS being a leader as Ferdinand and Vidic were. Anything less and United will end up looking for yet another top class defender and rueing the fact that more money has been wasted on a player not up to the job!
