The hosts had unexpectedly big problems during the first half of the season, but now RNK Split is with new head coach (Zoran Vulic) and with some new names in the squad – Andrija Vukovic (goalkeeper / from “Balikesirspor”), Chung Woon (defender / from “NK Istra 1961”), Tomislav Glumac (defender / from “Balikesirspor”) and Slavko Blagojevic (midfielder / from “NK Istra 1961”).

RNK Split is a team with enough potential to fight for a place in the European tournaments next season and Zoran Vulic already declared that this will be the main aim for his team until the end of the season.

In the matter of fact, RNK Split is not among the teams with the best home records in this league, although it should be noted, that the Reds lost only once in their previous nine games here this season (against good team like HNK Rijeka / 0-3) and won three of four games against the last four teams in the standings (3-1-0 9-1).

NK Istra 1961 is just above the teams in the relegation zone (8th position / 3-7-9 19-32) and according to many experts, the visitors will have big problems to keep their place in this league for the next season.

Especially for this match, the Yellow-Greens will travel with group of only seventeen players, most of them young and inexperienced.

Under these circumstances, I really doubt, that the hosts will make mistake in this clash.
