Newcastle United’s Moussa Sissoko has been linked with a move away from St. James’ park this winter.
Arsenal have been the one mainly in the media looking to secure his services and the good news for Gunners is that the star himself wants Emirates move.
According to reports, €25.6m rated Sissoko will be interested in joining Arsenal as he claimed:
“If anything should happen, it will. I hope I’ll leave for a bigger club one day. England is my priority.”
“If Arsene Wenger calls, I’ll have a man-to-man discussion with him and then we’ll see. Arsenal has always been the club of my heart.”
Sissoko has had a decent season for Newcastle United mainly under the departed manager Alan Pardew but he is the wrong choice as far as Arsenal’s requirements are concerned.
Gunners already have quality midfielder in the form of Ramsey and Wilshere, moreover, Rosicky is contributing as well.
What Arsenal really need is a strong defensive midfield player, someone who can break play. Arteta and Flamini are not up to the mark and questions will be raised how Moussa Sissoko can be the man to solve that dilemma.
For Newcastle, Tiote is the one responsible to break play as a holding mid while Sissoko has mostly played in central or attacking midfield. In 19 league appearances, 25 year old has scored 2 goals.
The above mentioned price tag is really high for a player that Arsenal do not really need. Gunners must splash the cash to bring in a a much needed quality DM.
