One of the main reasons why Tottenham have been really successful this season is because they now have a proven goalscorer.
Last season, Spurs spent a mammoth amount to lure Roberto Soldado from Valencia hoping that he will be the quality striker they have been missing since the departure of Dimitar Berbatov.
However, the Spanish international proved to be worse than what his compatriot Fernando Torres was for Chelsea.
The North Londoners promoted Kane and in no time he became fan favorite and number one in the side.
With Soldado and Adebayor not really working well for the team, Spurs need to have another quality option to support or play in absence of Kane.
Hence Tottenham are in the winter transfer market to sign a striker and latest reports suggest that €20m rated Emmanuel Emenike of Fenerbahce is the one targeted by Spurs to link up with Kane.
Emenike was in brilliant form last season as he directly contributed in 24 goals (15 goals 9 assists) in 35 appearances.
This season , the 27 year old Nigerian star has scored 2 goals and provided 3 assists in 13 league appearances.
Emenike’s agent claims that Spurs are heavily interested in signing his client:
“Tottenham have really only one striker right now so it is not a surprise that they are interested. I personally have not entered talks with Tottenham yet. However, if Fenerbahce give permission we can enter negotiations.”
Should Spurs splash the cash to sign Emenike this winter or look for a better option?
