Manchester United have completed loan move of young forward William Keane who heads to Sheffield Wednesday till the end of the season.
With United having three top quality strikers at disposal in the form of Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao, the loan move for Keane will be beneficial for his career.
The 22 year old England international has only been able to play in the first team of Devils once that too under Alex Ferguson in 2011. Keane came on as a substitute in shocking 3-2 defeat against Blackburn Rovers at Old Trafford.
This season, Keane has been in decent form for the under 21 side and in 7 appearances, he has netted 3 goals and provided 2 assists as well.
His performances earned him a spot in the squad against Stoke City in premier league this season but he was an unused sub in 2-1 victory for the Red Devils.
Last season, Will Keane had two loan spells, played 10 games for QPR and 4 games for Wigan Athletic but could not score a single goal.
All his goals have come for Manchester United U21 side and in total 50 appearances, Keane has netted 25 goals for the Red Devils.
As per the provided Daily Star link, Keane is set to wear No. 48 shirt for his new club and can feature on next Tuesday’s Championship home fixture against Birmingham.
Whether or not he has a future with Manchester United, only time will tell but the likes of Welbeck and Hernandez had to depart and Keane may also have to consider his options after this loan spell ends.
