Arsenal were rampant in defeating Stoke City in their last league game and once again Alexis Sanchez was the man to watch.
Gunners are now only a single point behind 4th place Manchester United who were beaten by Southampton.
Arsene Wenger was delighted with the team’s performance but suffered a major blow with first team right back Debuchy suffering another major injury.
The French international who signed for Gunners from Newcastle last summer dislocated his shoulder and will be out for long.
Wenger claimed:
“He has a dislocated shoulder. It is difficult (to say how long he will be out) – you need a diagnosis from a specialist.”
Arsenal fans will hope that Debuchy’s absence does not haunt Arsenal but fortunately England international Chambers will be fit and ready to return.
Chambers missed the last league game because of illness and is expected to return to face Manchester City. Will he get straight into the starting XI or will Bellerin start ahead of him, we shall see.
On the other hand, former Manchester United striker and summer signing Danny Welbeck is also expected to return and be available for selection after recovering from his hip/thigh concerns.
As per Physioroom, the duo should be available for the game on 18th at the Etihad Stadium.
