Arsenal need to sign quality players in the winter transfer window but do they really need another striker?
Without a shadow of a doubt, no one has been able to replace the prolific Dutch star and former captain Robin van Persie since he left Emirates and moved to Manchester United.
Giroud has been a useful striker as far as his work rate is concerned but by no means as prolific in front of goal as RvP.
Nevertheless, scoring 5 goals in 9 league appearances is a decent return this season from the French international provided his serious injury concerns.
Gunners did sign Danny Welbeck in the summer transfer market from the Red Devils but the England international has only netted 4 league goals in 18 appearances.
If not for Alexis Sanchez, Gunners could have been lying further down the table. For now, Arsenal’s main concerns are in defense but as per latest reports, they are ready to move for star forward.
Arsenal have made Croatian international Mario Mandzukic their transfer priority and are prepared to move for €32m Atletico Madrid striker.
Atletico only lured Mandzukic from Bayern Munich last summer and the Croat star has scored 14 goals in 24 appearances for the Spanish champions this season.
Although, Atletico Madrid have signed Fernando Torres on loan but the La Liga side cannot really rely on the inconsistent El Nino whose best days have never come back since he left Liverpool in January 2011.
It is highly unlikely that Atletico will let Madzukic leave in mid season and perhaps Arsenal should look elsewhere for striking options.

We don’t need a striker we need a DM, CD, and another CM. Wenger why is this too hard to understan.
