Manchester United have been interested in luring World Class players to solve the mess left by David Moyes.
Van Gaal did exactly that in summer and numerous top quality players signed for the Red Devils.
The Dutch manager has been able to turn the dismal situation around at Manchester United as they are in title winning form.
With the winter transfer window coming up, Manchester United are again targeting top quality player for positions they failed to reinforce in the summer window.
However, other important aspects include keeping key players and signing youngsters for the future.
One such young talented star United have been able to sign is Benfica winger Venancio da Silva Monteiro.
Daily Mail states:
“United have held off competition from neighbours Manchester City to sign Portuguese winger Venancio da Silva Monteiro.”
Manchester City were also keen to secure his signature but United have won the race for the wonder kid.
Citizens will not really be disappointed because they have young wingers who can be good exciting prospects such as Barker, Dilrosun and Nemane.
Nevertheless, Manchester United need a world class defender in winter more than anyone else and Van Gaal may have to break the bank for that.
United are only 5 points behind their city rivals and with relatively easy fixtures ahead and the kind of form they are in, Van Gaal will surely have title in his mind.

Pls LVG purchase world class players 4 man utd
I strongly believe we are in that era where Man Utd should be having in its squard players who will be sending fears into the spines of its opponents. As a result of this LvG should do everthing within his powers to get us world class players.
It’s great that Van Gaal has faith in youngster (Bleckert, Paddy, Perreira, Wilson & co) at United because they are the future, but he definitely needs one world class defender of Hummells, Showcross, Ventongen or Kyle Walkers’ class, one midfielder of Marco Reus, Strootman, Raktic or Ross Barkley’s class and we will be competing for the premier league title and champions league next season.
