Last season, the merseysiders won both fixtures against United and the one at Old Trafford was comprehensive.

Well a game of Liverpool pressing high, 3 chances falling to Sterling. 1 possibly 2 of which should have made goals, but in fairness to him, he is being played as a forward. He is not a forward. It is strange that you would have 2 bonafide forwards in the selection, but they are both on the bench. Rooney’s goal was well taken. The defending was not there. The second goal should not have been allowed. RVP did get a touch on the ball, changing the deflection on the ball right into Mata’s path. Sterling now has had another chance. A golden opportunity to pull one back and he blows it. He could quite conceivably have a hatrick now and yet Liverpool are still 2 down. Advocates of Rodgers would, I am sure, suggest that it was a gutsy line-up to start with. I would say it is almost arrogant, kind of setup he pulled against Real Madrid. Same kind of arrogance that was displayed by Rodgers stating he is the best man for the job! Please! The best man for the job would not be sitting in same position in the table. If you think you are the best man for the job, quit messing around and instead of saying it, start showing it on the field!
Man Utd have just scored a third. I tell you what, if Rodgers has not got the decency to quit after the game today, he should be fired first thing tomorrow. I do not see any point in prolonging the inevitable and waiting until after Christmas. Fire him now!
