Even after splashing heavy cash on top players and starting with relatively easy fixtures, Van Gaal is going even worse than David Moyes.
The stats tell the entire story as the Dutch manager is finding it hard to gel the new players and compete at the highest level.
After 10 premier league games, Moyes had 17 points, while Van Gaal only has 13.
The Red Devils also scored more goals and conceded less under the management of the former Everton boss in first 10 games than they have done now under Van Gaal.
It seems that heavy transfer activity will also be required in the winter window to secure more top players for weak positions and turn United’s season around.
After that much expenditure, not qualifying for next season’s Champions League should be considered as a disaster.
Hence Van Gaal will do all he can to sign top players in winter although not many are available in mid season.
According to reports, Manchester United are close in to seal €65 million deal for German internationals and Schalke pair Draxler and Howedes.
Draxler is one of the most exciting young playmkers and United want to snatch him from Arsenal who have been linked with him since the past two windows.
On the other hand, the Red Devils also want versatile defender Howedes, who is not only a strong center back but also a proven left back as well.
Howedes featured in all games for the German side that won the World Cup in the summer and played as left back for Joachim Low’s side.

LvG and Moyes in same sentence??? LvG much better, the team needs experienced defenders and holding midfieders
LVG progress is promising while Moyes you could see the Morale declining everyday. During Moyes era we had Experience defenders while now its a different story. Moyes inherited Champions of EPL while LVG received outdated Team without Champion League the team being castigated by Media. OLD TRAFORD during Moyes had no respect but you can see team sprit this point in time.People when you make comparisons you need to think analyse each situation. And why
For Me I See Man Utd In Prospers In Just Few Years With Van Gaal, I Cant Say He Is A Bad Manager. He Has Proven Himself To Be A Good Coach And I Think He is And He Just Needs A Lot Of Money In The Jan Transfer Windows To Lead Man Utd Back To Victorious Times.
UTD MUST FLUSH OUT VAN PERSIE/MATA/EVANS/FLETCHER/YOUNG/ANDERSON/aka= NOTHING TO OFFER/IMPROVE UTD ANYMORE/FURTHER/WASTE OF WKLY WAGES THAT SHLD HAVE TRANSFORM UTD..UTD MUST SHOWN THE EXIT DOOR TO MEDIOCRITIES/LACKLUSTRES SHOW OF SHAME…SHALKE PAIR/DORTMUND PAIR OF HUMMELS/REUS..?
Why buying left back always as centre back?
We already have blind, Shaw, rojo.
Why additional left back, Howdes instead of
a natural centre back.
Am not seeing any progress yet.
That does not mean anything. LvG is promising and looks more intelligent than Moyes. LvG attracts good players because he’s an achiever and there is therefore, hope in him than Moyes. In fact, he has prospects and looks fearful to the opponent than Moyes.
i tink there is fear factor in lvg than moyes, he has much focus than moyes,he attracts quality players than moyes, d only tin we need is just experience and matured defenders thats all,as for lvg he is a leader
LVG should be left alone to thoroughly harness manu for he is a world class coach. It lacks credibility comparing LvG and David Moyes
LVG has not started the season well but there’s future. And the team is much organised the only thing letting him down is the injuries especialy in the defence line. But we believe the team is gonna be a great threat soon.
GGMU
LGV need more time. LVG looks more promising than Moyes, compare to their experiences. LVG can attract world class players and young talent even without CL. Club facing horrible results due with injuries, players not performing and players still adapting to themselves. They loss points for the past weeks with well organise teams and Manchester derby matches. They still lack quality, idea, spirits. Well, their time will come soon after january transfer market open.
