Manchester United need major reinforcements in the upcoming winter transfer window to turn the season around.
However, those reinforcements should mainly include top quality defenders more than any other star.
Still, like the summer window, Louis van Gaal is keen on improving the attacking setup in January as well.
The latest attacker linked with a move to Old Trafford is Brazilian international and Hoffenheim star Roberto Firmino.
The 23 year old playmaker has recently earned national call up thanks to his brilliant performances in the Bundesliga for a over a year.
Last season, Firmino featured in 37 games in all competition and directly contributed in 38 goals (22 Goals and 16 Assists).
The Selecao star has attracted interest from top European clubs and according to reports, Manchester United have also added him to the wishlist.
Roberto has started this season in brilliant fashion as well. In 12 appearances, he has netted 5 goals and provided 5 assists as well.
Whether or not the Brazilian star will be an equal hit in the premier league is another matter but he surely has the talent to shine in EPL.
Firmino’s capture will be brilliant for any club as the player has yet to hit his peak. Pacy, Skillful, regular scorer and provider of goal. Manchester United must do all to secure his services and sell players like Young and Valencia who are past their best.
Will Firmino be United’s next playmaker signing? Time will tell.
