Pair of backup goaltenders are playing tonight, Karri Rämö for Calgary and Scott Clemmensen for New Jersey. Rämö hasn't seen a lot of playing time recently and his form is questionable. Clemmensen is widely considered as one of the weakest backup goalies in NHL and he has only played part in two games this season. In those games, he faced overally 17 shots and conceded 4 of them. Devils's coach has rather played number one goalie Schneider over back-to-backs than put Clemmensen on net. This shows a major lack of trust.
Both teams are weak on penalty kill (New Jersey the worst in NHL) which also increases the possibility for Over 5.0 goals.
