Manchester United Leading to Sign Superstar Midfielder

Arsenal and Chelsea continue to battle for German international and Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira but United have overtaken both.
Louis van Gaal is keen to add a quality midfielder in the winter transfer window but can he convince the best to join.
The biggest con for the Red Devils is not their lack of European football but they did attract many stars without it in the summer.
It is in fact their position in the premier league come January that will decide whether top players opt to move to Old Trafford or not.
Nevertheless, United have the funds to match the fees and did attract top starts by offering them loads of money. Can they do the same for Khedira, yes is probably the answer.
According to reports, Manchester United are now leading the race to sign Sami Khedira having leapfrogged Gunners and the Blues.
Arsenal have been reluctant to match his wages and currently are in terrible position in the league.
Chelsea already have a strong defensive midfielder in the form of Nemanja Matic and they really do not need Khedira at the moment.
United on the other hand need a strong enforcer like him and can match his salary demands as well.
Having said that, United must be in good position come January to ensure that Khedira finally joins them.
