Manchester United captured one of the signings of the summer by securing the services of Radamel Falcao from Monaco on loan.
The Red Devils had to fork out a decent loan fee to bring him to Old Trafford and now they are ready to make the move permanent.
According to reports, Manchester United have already agreed to pay the asking price of £43 million and have also agreed the personal terms with the player who will earn £250,000k a week.
Falcao will turn 29 next February and is yet to score for his new club but Manchester United are well aware of his qualities and want him for long term.
The English giants do not want to wait for next summer when other clubs might jump in to sign Falcao as well and hence have done all the work for the deal to be made official in the winter transfer window.
Monaco have never been able to get the best out of Falcao. Colombian was arguably the deadliest finisher during his days with Porto and Atletico.
However, his first season with the French side was marred by injury that made him miss the second half of the season and he departed to Old Trafford this summer.
Currently, Robin van Persie is in the wrong side of 30s and his best days are surely behind him and hence signing Falcao on a permanent was probably needed.
Still, United must also look to sign a top young striker for the future as Both Rooney and Falcao are nearing 30 as well.
