Manchester United are in no mood of giving up chase of German international and Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels.
The Red Devils tried to secure his services in the summer window as well but Dortmund rejected the bids.
Moreover, the new club captain, Hummels also opted to stay put and claimed that he is happy at the moment.
However, Man United and Louis van Gaal desperately need a commanding world class center half and once again they are ready to go after Mats Hummels.
Two senior central defenders Evans and Jones are still out with injuries while Manchester United have to make do with youngsters like Blackett and McNair who have been decent but still need a lot of learning.
According to reports, Manchester United are already working on a deal to sign Mats Hummels and are ready to offer him a mammoth contract.
As per the provided link, Hummels is after huge amount on his next contract but Dortmund are not able to match the demands and has failed to reach any agreement.
In such a scenario, it is highly likely that the World Cup winner might be moving away from Germany with Old Trafford being the preferred destination.
Manchester United are ready to splash a fee as much as £40 million for the world class defender. Think, it will be hard for Dortmund to reject that offer for a player not accepting their new contract offer.

Good things do not come cheap. Manchester United must pay the 40 million pounds if they are to turn a corner. Also buying Ron Vlaar can make Manchester United one of the most interesting brands in the world. A box-to-box defensive midfielder in the mould of Sami Khedira, Arturo Vidal or the hard-to-get Kevin Strootman will put Manchester United where it belongs.
this news is becoming very boring hummels is one of the best defenders in europe we can’t get him easily we must pay high price to land him.
Mat Hammel is the leader we need in our defense as well as Coleman. For the midfield, get Strootman and Vidal.
Good step in the right direction.
Very interesting and exhilarating news to bring him on board in as much as our defence is in shambles and enormous disarray following the concurrent departures of our workaholic defensive trio particularly Evra who was still in impressive form prior to his move from Old Trafford.
This should atleast give us a lesson that, unlike other teams, Utd is trophy-oriented and as such, there was no logic and justification to offload the entire back three in a single summer transfer window and replace the same with Blackett and McNair.
Of course these youngsters are deft but not enough to instantly bring back the cheaply lost glory!
Evra and Vidic could gradually be mentoring the likes of Luke Shaw, Blackett and company until certified fully fledged.
Be reminded that Man Utd is not Arsenal who get contentious with a mere top 4 finish.
We want the 21st title on the shelf!
LvG concentrate on how to balance that equation, Rafeal, jones, Evans, Rojo, Show, Blackett, Nair,Blind,Smallin. Simple equations with nine letters..
Just go get the lad. We ur too fragile @ the back. N its boring having Di maria defending when we need to be attacking, especially helping out defence when they ur screw up all the tym. Tbh this creates unneccessary pressure on us coz we will not be easing pressure by attacking n more. Lets have good defenders n Hummels is 1 of them.
Hummels and or Bruno Indi Martins, then we’ll be home and dry.
