Manchester United were interested in various top attacking players in the summer transfer window and they lured Di Maria and Falcao.
Their were many names that Van Gaal wanted to secure such as the likes of Reus, Cuadrado, Robben etc but failed.
However, the Dutch manager is adamant to improve the quality of United’s attack in the winter transfer window as well.
According to reports, Manchester United hope that a move of €38m can seal the transfer of Colombian international Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina.
Cuadrado attracted interest from top clubs in the last transfer window because of his world class performances in the World Cup that helped his nation reach the last eight.
As per the provided link, Manchester United held lengthy talks with the 26 year old superstar in the summer but in the end Cuadrado opted to stay with the Serie A side.
An offer of €38 million will surely tempt Fiorentina as the player himself is having contract renewal issued currently.
Manchester United hope that the mentioned sum can finally wrap up the transfer in January as they look for Champions League qualification.
Without doubt, United can meet Cuadrado’s wage demands and signing him mid-season will be a massive boost for the Red Devils as he is capable of adding to both attack and defense.
The only concern, Cuadrado is not cup-tied in CL and other top clubs may jump to the opportunity of signing him as well. Hence United have to act fast.

Instead of signing Cuadrado, i think United should focus more on the defence line. I think that is where united problem is. Although he will be a major boost to physically in the attack, some thing that Mata is lacking. And also ii think united should try and lure Matuidi in the summer. He never get tired. He is just a workerholic.
Injury worries but defence is what we should be most concerned about. Cuadrado is a great signing though
