Man United will ACTIVATE €40m Clause to Sign Superstar

Manchester United are after top quality central defenders to sign in the winter transfer window and there are many names linked.
The latest one making the list is Athletic Bilbao’s young central defender Aymeric Laporte.
The 20 year old star is regarded as one of the best rising center halves in the world and had a brilliant season for the La Liga side as Bilbao finished in the top 4 and qualified for the Champions League.
Since last season, the young French international has established his starting place firmly in the Spanish side.
Laporte featured in 35 league games last season for Athletic club and also scored 2 goals as well.
His top performances surely had to draw interest from top European clubs and Manchester United seem to want him more than anyone else at the moment.
According to reports, Manchester United will activate €40m release clause to sign Laporte from Bilbao either in January or next summer.
Bilbao are currently playing in the Champions League but are bottom of their group after three games and it is highly unlikely that they will qualify for KO rounds. Hence, there are chances that Laporte may not mind moving in mid-season but United’s position at that time will matter as wel.
Currently, United are not performing as per the required standards by any means. Also, as per the provided link, Arsenal are also keen for his signature and French connection of Wenger can be a plus for Laporte.
