Is Lambert's Liverpool Move only about Completing his Dreams

Liverpool splashed 4 million pounds to sign life long Reds fan Rickie Lambert from Southampton.
The veteran England international had a decent season for the Saints that even earned him a spot for the World Cup 2014.
He was signed by Brendan Rodgers for the role of a third striker, but BR already had Borini here plus he also secured signing of Origi who was eventually loaned back to Lille. Both young and better options than Lambert. Even when BR wanted Borini out and he somehow stayed, the Italian was picked to start two consecutive games ahead of Lambert.
As of now, Lambert has made a few starts and bench appearances but has done nothing of note. The merseysiders have a fast style, perhaps too fast for Rickie and he badly needs support.
He has made two starts and in both games played as a lone striker upfront. Without any supporting striker beside him, without the ability to turn the defender around on his own or the pace to reach the through ball on time, he is a clear misfit in Liverpool’s system.
Also, against the Baggies, Lambert was found playing out wide on a few occasions as well, lost the ball being helpless of course. Fed up with his performances, one fan turned up and tweeted.

“I’ve loved Liverpool my whole life. Can I start up top after the international break”

Not many can see Rickie succeeding at Anfield and next season even Origi will be there hence for now it seems that Lambert’s Liverpool move is only about him completing his dreams.
His dream to join the club he loves, dream to wear the famous red shirt, dream to play at Anfield, dream to captain Liverpool. Perhaps the only ones left are the dream to score, win a trophy and retire at Liverpool.
With all due respect, Lambert is passionate, works his socks off for the team but lacks in key departments much needed for Reds to excel.
