Arsene Wenger is fed up of the injury concerns and will surely have to make amends in the January transfer window.
One department where the Arsenal boss already has enough depth and quality at disposal is playmaking/attacking midfield.
Although, more than a few players are out injured with Ramsey and Ozil being the key stars still the likes of Sanchez, Cazorla, Chamberlain, Rosicky, Podolksi, Wilshere provide enough cover.
Despite depth, Arsenal boss is believed to be frustrated with record signing Mesut Ozil who cannot seem to find consistent form and wants another AM in the winter transfer window.
Gunners were keen to secure the signing of German playmaker Julian Draxler even in the last two transfer windows but opted not to pay the asking price.
This time, according to reports, Arsenal will pay the asking price i.e. match the release clause in the contract of Schalke star to secure his signing.
With Ozil not settling into 4-3-3 system, Wenger see Draxler as the versatile talent to fit in the system better than his compatriot.
For sure, Mesut Ozil’s best position is playing behind the striker but has normally found himself playing out-wide and frustrated.
Draxler on the hand has the pace and ability to play at either flank or through the center as well. It will be a crime to say that Julian is better than Mesut Ozil playing as No.10 but easily more flexible and that is what Wenger wants with so many options at his disposal.
