Arsenal Agreed Terms with Star, Now Chelsea Take Control

Sami Khedira Real MadridArsenal badly need a quality central defensive midfielder in their squad to challenge the best of teams.
Currently they have the likes of Arteta and Flamini but the duo have shown no signs of improvement this season and are without doubt past their best as well.
Gunners were eager to secure a signing of holding midfielder in the summer transfer window failed.
Players like Sami Khedira and William Carvalho were linked but Arsenal perhaps preferred the signing of striker with Giroud getting injured right at the end of the summer window. Hence, Welbeck arrived.
As published previously, Arsenal had agreed personal terms with Khedira to secure his services in the winter transfer window.
The North Londoners were leading the chase but now Chelsea have entered the frame and have immediately taken control as well.
As per Express, Chelsea have stormed ahead of Arsenal in the race of former Stuttgart midfielder who is set to depart Real Madrid.
Los Blancos are interested in signing Chelsea’s legendary goal keeper Petr Cech who finds himself warming the bench as young Courtois has taken his starting place coming back from Atletico Madrid.
Jose Mourinho is a keen admirer of the German international who played a key role in the World Cup winning campaign.
Mourinho was the one who signed Khedira from Bundesliga along with his compatriot Mesut Ozil. Although, Jose already has a brilliant DM in the form of Matic but still he wants Khedira.
Arsenal fans must be fearing the worst at the moment with all the negative news these days.

    Khedira is not the only good holding midfielder, Wenger still have options….
