Manchester United are all set to sign two world class stars absolutely free of cost and fans have all the reasons to be excited.
The players in discussion are former Barcelona goal keeper Victor Valdes and current Barca right back Daniel Alves whose contract will expire at the end of this season.
Valdes is already a free-agent after leaving the Catalan giants and has agreed a fitness trial with the Red Devils.
As per Manchester United’s official website:
“Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has offered the 32-year-old former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes a chance to complete his rehabilitation from a knee injury and to work his way back to fitness with the club.”
“Valdes, a free agent, will have his recovery supervised by the United medical staff before training with the first team, as he bids to regain full fitness.”
According to the provided Metro link, If Valdes proves his fitness, United will sign him and surely he will be a quality addition. The only concern, with De Gea being the first choice, will Valdes warm the bench more often than not or it will be the other way around?
Moreover, Manchester United looked to have sealed the deal for Daniel Alves as well with reports suggesting that the negotiations are in the final stages and the deal will be completed soon.
Not to forget, even Chelsea and Liverpool are after Alves so securing his services will be a major coup for the Red Devils
