Dutch international Daley Blind had a brilliant last campaign for Ajax as well as for the national side during the World Cup.
Blind’s performances earned him the award of Dutch player of the year recently and United fans have all the reasons to be excited with a player like him in the squad.
The Netherlands star is versatile, capable of playing as a left (wing) back, center back and as a holding midfielder cum deep lying playmaker.
Van Gaal used him as LWB (mostly) and DM during the World Cup where he set up 3 goals and also scored one to help Dutch team earn 3rd place.
Ajax boss has revealed where will Blind actually play for United.
“He started as a full-back but I think now he prefers to be a controlling midfielder. I think he’ll have two or three options, either at wing-back or on the left in a central midfield pairing.”
With Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo two other options that can be used as left (wing) back and United failing to sign another midfielder, expect Blind to play in his preferred defensive midfield role for the Red Devils.
Here is how he may line up for Man United.

Why not 4-3-3. That 3-4-2-1 is not good
Now that IS a revelation! And there was me thinking he’d be playing centre forward!!!
