When Liverpool sold their talisman Luis Suarez to Barcelona earlier this summer, they knew it will be difficult to replace him.
A direct replacement for the Uruguayan was always out of question and Brendan Rodgers has done brilliantly to ensure that the squad depth is amplified as they are going to play in a hectic season as compared to last one.
Apart from the goalkeeping department, every department was reinforced but still they needed a big name striker for sure as Lambert was never going to be the answer to partner Sturridge.
Hence Liverpool splashed the cash to secure the services of former Manchester City star Mario Balotelli.
The hot headed Italian has been criticized on several aspects and on many occasions but things that have never been questioned are his talent and the ability to produce something special out of nothing.
The Italian striker was pivotal for City as they won their first PL title in 2012 and was Milan’s best player.
In 54 appearances for the mighty Rossoneri, Mario Balotelli scored 30 goals and provided 12 assists then for Liverpool to secure him for only £16m is absolutely fantastic deal for the merseysiders.
To think that players like Shane Long cost £12m and Balotelli only £16m surely makes the Italian the PL bargain buy of the summer.
Apart from scoring, he did all well for the Reds on his debut against Spurs. Remains to be seen whether he will be a Anfield hit or not but fans have all the reason to be very excited.

well it may be a good transfer window for us (Lfc) but for me i don’t see it as a good transfer window,i was expecting after selling Luis Suarez that we will bring in a simillar player of such but suprisingly Rodgers and his business chiefs could’nt do that, i was expecting a player of Diego Costa, Falcao,Sanchez, Shaqiri, or even to bring in Pastore i think these could’ve been better than Lambert, but we signing Miriam Balotolli i think it’s a good deal but failing to bring in a top finisher will surely give us a problem and i can’t see us (Lfc) finishing again among of the top 4.
talking as though you see the future and well you are very confident we won’t succeed… even know what you gunna eat tonite??
Well he is certainly good buy for liverpool and will show his worth the bargain buy of the summer has to be Alberto Mareno liverpool did great job in recruting him for just 12 mill and shaw went to united for 30mill bet united fans would be wondering did we buy wrong player and yaaa all talk about falcao is crap there is a reason why monaco allowed him to leave as they know after his injury he is not gonna be the same player he was once he is just gonna be another torress or worst than him.
You forget football is a team game and our team is now many times stronger. Remember in Suarez’s first season we finish seventh. It was only when Coutinho and Studge came in that things click. People are obsessed with the marque signing and it’s rubbish. Remember the Galaticos.
