Arsenal will kick start their premier league campaign against Crystal Palace on Saturday and should be considered favorites to win the game.
Arsene Wenger has provided the updated team news for the fixture and more than a few stars are still not fully fit.
However, Gunners have enough quality in their squad to see off the challenge of Palace and win all points.
German trio of Ozil, Mertesacker and Podolski are late arrivals returning from extended holidays after the World Cup and are likely to play no part on Saturday.
Laurent Koscielny had a minor concern but Wenger has cleared things up by stating:
“Koscielny had a knock on his Achilles but he should be available for Saturday.”
Injury prone Diaby is currently fit and training but still needs more time and should not expect to feature against Palace.
New goalkeeper signing David Ospina is still recovering from the injury he picked during the World Cup and Arsene claims:
“Ospina is two or three weeks away. He has a thigh strain from the Brazil vs Colombia game.”
German youngster Serge Gnabry is still not fit and the manager did not confirm when he can be available.
However, he did provide update on Ryo who is very close to returning and England international Theo Walcott who is expected to return at the end of August or start of September.
