Man United Preview & Probable XI vs Sunderland

Tom Cleverly Man UnitedManchester United should get back to winning ways at the weekend but they have more than a few key stars missing.
The Red Devils suffered a humiliating home defeat on Louis Van Gaal’s first competitive game for the club and will look to bounce back in style.
As per Betfair odds, Manchester United remain clear favorites to beat Gus Poyet’s men, however if a similar performance like last weekend is repeated, expect Man United to drop points again.
England international and new summer signing Luke Shaw is already out for long and again Ashley Young is likely to play as the left wing-back in the 3-4-1-2 formation. Whereas on the right hand side, Ecuador star Antonio Valencia is expected to return to the starting XI.
As far as midfield is concerned, Manchester United have Ander Herrera as a fresh injury concern and the Spaniard will be out. Not to forget, Carrick and Fellaini are also out hence Louis van Gaal is short of options and Cleverly is expected to start alongside Fletcher in the midfield.
Dutch captain and United’s Star striker Robin van Persie is set to return after his extended holidays and the Red Devils supporters will be hoping that RvP will kick start his campaign with a goal or two.
Van Persie is set to partner Wayne Rooney upfront with January signing Juan Mata likely to play in the hole behind the duo.
The Black Cats started their campaign with a 2-2 draw against the West Brom and will hope to at least earn a single point against Louis Van Gaal’s men.
Last season, the corresponding game ended in a 2-1 victory for the visitors, Can they earn three points again? They really should considering that all their title rivals won their opening games.
Here is Man United’s probable XI vs Sunderland.
