Germany Ripped Brazil Apart in their Own Backyard

Brazil still remain the only team alongside Spain to have not won the World Cup as hosts and last night, their hopes were blow away by the mighty Germans.
Having lost the semi finals of the last 2 World Cups, Germany had perhaps learned their lessons well but the home side were chaotic on the night.
This was only the second meeting between the two footballing giants, Brazil came out on top in 2002 World Cup final but Germany had their revenge in the most devastating manner with a 7-1 thrashing of the Samba boys.
Seleccao were without their two key players but it will be fair to say that even in their presence, Brazil would have been second best as this German squad is the strongest.
However, the humiliation might have been little less. Brazil are renowned for attacking flair but once they conceded early on, Scolari should have changed approach instead they kept on attacking and made it easy for Germans who are the best when it comes to counter attack.
Moreover, the defense was all over the place, marking non-existent in the first goal, lazy Marcelo was 2-3 yards behind the defensive line to play Muller on-side for the second as Miroslav Klose finally became all time world cup scorer by netting his 16th goal.
Perhaps it was written in the stars that the veteran will over-take the Brazilian legend Ronaldo against Brazil in Brazil. From then onwards, it was carnage as Brazilians lost their head and the Europeans scored 3 more goals in 4 minutes.
Brazil did try to storm back in the second 45 minutes but Neuer was brilliant and Germans patiently waited for their chances to add two more. Oscar finally scored for Brazil in the dying minutes but even that cannot be regarded as consolation.
Netherlands and Argentina are already warned as they collide in the second semi final. Who will come out on top? More importantly, can anyone stop Germany?
