Manchester United have bolstered their defense and midfield so far this summer with two key signings of Shaw and Herrera.
Now, the focus must shift to central defense and more importantly in attack as well where the Red Devils need quality depth to fight for title next season.
Louis van Gaal is likely to use the new 3-4-1-2 formation with Manchester United as he did during the World Cup and in his first game in-charge of the club vs LA Galaxy.
The Old Trafford club have been interested in securing the services of Colombian superstar James Rodriguez but with him signing for Monaco, the focus has turned to his compatriot Juan Cuadrado of Fiorentina.
Moreover, according to the latest news, there are reports that favor United big time.
According to Daily Mirror, Manchester United now lead the race to sign the €38m playmaker who was the leading assist maker in the World Cup alongside Kroos as they set up 4 goals each.
Bayern were reportedly interested in signing him as well but since they have dropped the interest, United are the only club in the running and are favorite for his signature.
Adding to that, according to Daily Express, Manchester United will find out today whether their bid for Cuadrado is successful or not.
As per Express, United made €35m move for the in form playmaker and are set to learn whether that has been enough to sign him. If not, surely United should up the bid to secure his services.

Ed woodcrap said theres no budget so why can’t they sign player’s for big money.he is jusy getting the fans happy for nothing. United dont have the pulling power anymore to sign top players.that is why they settled for herrera. But I think the biggest joke was him saying that they could brake the transfer record. Im a man United fan but even I know crap when I see it
