Iago Aspas had a torrid first season at Anfield after joining Liverpool from Celta Vigo last summer.
The Spanish international was always going to get less game time with the likes of Suarez and Sturridge in the squad.
However, he did get his opportunities in the start of the season and also midway through but did not prove much fruiftul.
Although it will not be fair to judge him on the game time he got for the merseysiders but still one thing is for sure, Liverpool need better quality now that they are in the Champions League.
Hence the decision to loan him out to Sevilla makes complete sense as he looks for game time. The frustration of Aspas is inevitable after all who likes warming the bench.
Liverpool have been looking to lure Sevilla left back Alberto Moreno for quite some time but the Reds loanee has told his new team mate to not join Liverpool and stay put at Sevilla.
The translation provided below (original link) might not be perfect but here is what Aspas had to say about Moreno’s Liverpool switch.
“Alberto Moreno would never feel like he does in Seville at Liverpool. I’ve been here 3 4 days, now that I belong to Sevilla, I prefer he stays here”
Liverpool are in need of quality fullback this summer and Moreno has been their prime target reportedly keen on move as well.
Liverpool do not have any top quality in fullback positions and Moreno will go straight into the starting XI unlike Aspas but will his comments make any difference, we shall see.

Typical comment by a spoiled and petulant child. Aspas if you had not only talked the talk but also walked the walk, you would still be in Liverpool. What a waste of time and energy!
