So far so good for Arsenal football club in the summer transfer window as the Gunners have lured two top stars in Alexis Sanchez and Debuchy.
However, one of the main dilemmas the North Londoners have faced over the past two seasons is lack of top class goal scorer.
Since the departure of star striker Robin van Persie to Man United, Arsenal have not yet replaced him as Giroud is by no means world class striker and has been largely inconsistent as well.
His horrific turn of form in the second half of last season was a major reason for the turmoil in the premier league. Still, Wenger has come up and stated that the club will not sign another striker.
Wenger claimed: “Up front we don’t need any more,”
Surely the Arsenal boss is making a huge mistake again as the striking department has no depth with Sanogo as back-up and no real quality with Giroud as the main man.
The French international does not even come close to the likes of Aguero, Suarez, Rvp, Costa etc.
Arsenal have got many top quality playmakers in the squad with the likes of Ozil, Poldi, Cazorla, Ramsey, Rosicky, Gnabry, Walcott and Chamberlain. Moreover, they have signed another goal-scoring playmaker in Sanchez who netted 19 la liga goals last term. Still, they need a quality striker upfront.
Sanchez can play as a lone forward upfront but that is not the position to get the best out of him and highly doubt Wenger will even use him there.
To rely on Giroud for another season may as well prove costly for the Gunners yet again but will Wenger change his mind, may be not.

Arsenal Manager Making a Massive Mistake Again
(Visited 54 times, 1 visits today)
There could be any number of reasons for the comment one that comes to mind is that every player that Arsene expresses an interest in quickly becomes the target of lazy managers like Rogers and Maureen. A couple of seasons ago one team went so far a to admit that rather than spot talent they would just go for any player that Wenger became interested in.
For long I have been saying the same about Wenger. He is the real scout for his opponents. I used to call him a window-shopper. It will be a huge mistake if he fails to buy a world-class striker. For me it appears Wenger is using Arsensl as breeding ground for his home country. Otherwise, why Grioud and Sanogo? For me even Gnarby is by far better than Sanogo. But why does Wenger prefer to give opportunities to Sanogo instead of Gnarby who is more dangerous in the opponents’s area?
I agree whole heartedly our strikers will not scare our rivals, we need someone who will put fear into them. And strikers who are not afraid to shoot from outside the box.It would be interesting to see stats of how many goals we actually scored from outside the box last season.
We didn’t lose the league last season because we couldn’t score goals, we lost the league because we suffer with to many long term injuries, which hopefully we’ve adressed. We have plenty of scoring options and lets be honest theres not many strikers out there that give you 25+ goals in there first season. Ground will only get better trust me, and as far as back up Sanagoo is behind the likes of walcott, sanchez, podolski &; campbell. All these players along with the likes of Ramsey, the Ox and. Cazorla will get us the goals we need.
Along with a defence thats getting stronger and the golden gloves Champion between the stinks, the futures looking bright.
Really? Giroud, Campbell, podolski,Akpom and Walcott are good Strikers. So let’s wait and see.
Costa shouldn’t be used as an example until he prove him self in premiership. Did you watch world cup? I rest my case.
Arsenal fell apart during last season’s run in. Giroud was tired and the team collapsed. During both transfer windows, supporters, players, pundits and press had urged Wenger to buy a striker. He did not. Wenger then snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. It looks like this season the same is happening. He has declared that he will not sign a striker. Deja Vu. If he doesn’t buy a top striker watch Arsenal fall away during the winter. What happens if Giroud gets injured after Sept 1st? Sanogo, Campbell. Come on! Wenger has become a clown who could lead us to Premier League victory but hasn’t got the faintest idea how to get there. Get a top striker, Monsieur Professeur, or you could well be leaving the club with a boot up your arse.
WE DON’T! Yall honestly think Wenger bought Sanchez to be a winger? And I don’t wanna hear anybody say he’s a winger bcos he’s not. Barcelona put him on the wing bcos their system does not use a pure center forward. He’s the star striker we’ve been craving for, so just accept that and get on with it. Sanchez+giroud, podolski, Walcott, Campbell, sanogo and akpom is more than good enough. Y’all will be the same fans who complain when he doesn’t give Campbell a chance. We’re going back to 4-4-2 and those guys are enough for that formation. We can’t have it all.
I guarantee if Walcott gets as many games as Giroud he will outscore him with ease. Giroud showed flashes of ability but ultimately flops against any serious opposition. Not really a predatorily a striker like poldolski. Only really good at holding up play and fighting upfront with the odd goal.
When he’s on fire he’s useful but when he is off form he doesn’t contribute much apart from a smart assist in the box. Podolski is good but offers little apart from a surprise strike on goal or the odd assist.
Who cares if Walcott cant hold it up, Giroud did a great job and we still folded. We need GOALS and walcott whenever played upfront always delivers, especially in big games.
You can’t win a title with a slow striker.
you spent the first half of your sub saying that Giroud is good for holding up and the odd goal, elsewhere pretty much useless. Then your very next words are ” Giroud did a great job ” so which is it?. You can’t have it both ways.
Are we forgetting we need dm? Same same zipped wallet never will we win pl
