ACCEPTED – Liverpool Agree Terms to Sign $13m Attacker

Loic Remy QPRLast season, Liverpool were one of the best clubs in the world as far as attacking football is concerned, mainly thanks to Luis Suarez.
Now that the prolific Uruguayan has departed Anfield, the merseysiders are focused on heavily strengthening the attack for next season.
Although, defense has been the main dilemma for the Reds last season, still for now Brendon Rodgers wants more and more attackers.
Having already signed the likes of Lambert, Lallana and Markovic to increase firepower, Liverpool are close to sealing the signing of another forward in Loic Remy from QPR.
According to reports, the premier league runner ups have already agreed terms with French international who has accepted an £80,000-a-week offer to join merseysiders.
As per the provided link, Remy has a release clause of $13 million in his contract that Reds are ready to activate to complete the signing.
Arsenal have been interested in securing Remy to the Emirates who had a brilliant premier league campaign last season playing for Newcastle on loan. However, Liverpool have acted swiftly to agree terms.
Last season, Remy featured in 26 premier league games, scored 14 goals and also provided 3 assists as well.
Capable of playing as a central forward, secondary striker as well as on the left flank, Remy will largely increase Liverpool’s attacking depth. However, as Reds have signed more than a few attackers, expect Remy to be utilized alongside Sturridge or as a lone striker upfront.

I feel that Remy could prove to be a very useful forward. He is strong and powerful and playing alongside Sturridge or the likes of Coutinho and Henderson behind him, he could really excel in a Liverpool shirt.

Not quite the right place to ask this question, but thinking of additions, does anyone know the latest on De Vriq the CB we were talking about earlier in the window. There were comments linking him with Inter, but they seem to have collapsed. There is talk of Man Utd, but nothing signed, sealed and delivered. Liverpool are definitely in the market but can not find anything recent on him linking him with Liverpool. Are Liverpool not interested anymore or was there some other kind of glitch?
