Why Liverpool are Keen on Star but wont go Beyond £25m

Liverpool are ready to reinforce their squad this summer to challenge for bigger things next season.
Having already secured the signing of Rickie Lambert from Southampton, Reds want to seal deal for left back Moreno, Center midfielder Can and more importantly versatile playmaker and long term target Adam Lallana.
Reds have been heavily linked with a move for the England international who was voted in PFA team of the year last season but Saints want a huge fee.
However, lately Liverpool have offered a final £25m to Southampton for the services of Lallana and will not go beyond that sum.
Merseysiders are keen to lure Lallana for many reasons. One, he is a proven premier league player, two, can play in several attacking positions, something that Brendan wants.
Still, there is no point in paying over the odds for him.
Without doubt Lallana is a quality player but with money and Champions League football available, Liverpool are an attractive prospect for many top players. Moreover with the mentioned sum, surely Reds can buy top quality from abroad.
Player likes Bayern’s Xherdan Shaqiri and Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez are by all means top class players linked to improve Liverpool’s attack next season.
