Manchester United have been linked with a host of central midfielders and one of the biggest names is Arturo Vidal.
The Cheliean international is arguably the best player in his position being able to play as a CDM, CM and CAM effectively for the Italian champions Juventus.
Vidal was influential against Australia in their opening World Cup game as well.
According to reports in Italy, Manchester United can sign the former Bayer Leverkusen star for just £24m.
The mentioned price is by large a bargain and it will be a major coup for United if they can sign him this summer.
Previously, reports suggested that Vidal is going to cost around 61 Million Euros and it is a big surprise that United can actually lure him for half that amount.
Arturo Vidal is one of Louis van Gaal’s favorite players and the Manchester United manager even tried to sign him when he was at Bayern. Van Gaal claimed:
“Chile have very dangerous players, I always wanted to buy Vidal when he was at Bayer Leverkusen but he went to Juventus.
“I like a lot of Chile players and they always play an attacking style. It will be difficult for the Netherlands but we have confidence in the three games we have to play.”
Van Gaal made no secret that he likes the Chilean star and the drop in price must surely persuade him to bring Vidal to Old Trafford.
Like in every case, Champions league football is the major stumbling block. We will have to wait and see how the saga unfolds.

I hope so. If it is SPEND 24M NOW! it would be a bargain if true. We need him and we must be willing to spend a lot more than that for Vidal
If Vidal is available for that price, then nothing should stop United from making that bid in the next 30min and a tempting weekly wages to lure this amazing guy. Delay in considering a bid is dangerous bcos we need a world class in the United midfield and without any doubt, Vidal is No.1.
I agree with John Gab, we need him now, he is the best player that suits our needs and will go a long long way to doing that. I think he will be allowed to leave for 40m but if this is true then we have to bid like now and even if the price is 40m then we must bid soon. Sign him and Schweinsteiger and our centre midfield is one of the best in the premier league.
Never gonna happen.. I pray it does what a top class midfeld addition would bring instrumental in bringin us back to glory!! Mangala,shaw, and a decent winger is what we need?
