€18m Signing Done, Star to Fly Into Manchester to Seal Move

Manchester United badly need quality midfielders in this summer transfer window but for now they have not lured one.
On the other hand, their rivals Manchester City have sealed the signing of 26 year old Brazilian defensive midfielder Fernando.
According to reports, the Porto starlet has completed the €18m deal with the premier league Champions.
The Samba star featured in 45 games for the Primeira Liga side last season and played a pivotal role as the holding midfielder.
Citizens tried to lure him in the winter transfer market as well but then they wanted highly rated center back Mangala as part of the deal as well.
However, they were rejected in January and have now come forward to seal a straight deal for Fernando.
As per the provided link, the Brazilian star is expected to fly into Manchester in the next few days to put pen to paper and seal the move once and for all.
Last season, the holding midfield role has mainly been played by Javi Garcia and Fernandinho.
With the likely departure of Yaya Toure, Fernandinho will get the right to bulldoze forward from midfield when needed and Fernando can partner him to prove the defensive shield.
The all Brazilian midfield partnership can be fruitful for the Champions next season but the priority should be to hold on to the ever energetic Ivorian Yaya Toure.
