Bayern Munich center midfielder Toni Kroos has been on Manchester United’s wanted list since the January transfer window.
However, things have drastically changed in this transfer saga since the Red Devils have appointed new manager Louis van Gaal.
David Moyes was the one who wanted Toni Kroos at Old Trafford badly to solve the midfield crisis but after Van Gaal’s arrival the Dutch coach has ended the interest in German star as per reports.
The news broke down on United fans as a very sad one who were hoping that the club will soon sign him. They are perhaps still baffled by the fact that Van Gaal himself opted out, what could possibly be the reason.
May be the answer to this question is €36m rated star midfielder Kevin Strootman.
Strootman is one of Van Gaal’s favorite player and he has been in regular contact. The Dutch manager believes that his compatriot is amongst the big three in Netherlands alongside Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben.
He has had a season ruined by long term injury that will also prevent him from playing in the World Cup. However, when fit, he was one of the best players for Roma in Serie A and Louis van Gaal is well aware of his qualities.
The former PSV star might just be the reason why Van Gaal has snubbed Toni Kroos. Still think United should sign 2 quality central midfield players to fight for the title next season.

Strootman if fit would be a great addition to Man United, however at this current time the player is on a wheel chair after suffering a serious knee injury. To make matters worst the player and his club (Roma) don’t expect him to be fit and return by January next year. Considering these sad circumstances, does it make any sense for Louis van Gaal to sign a player for around €36 million who won’t be able to start the season! My personal answer is NO but who knows!
