The Luke Shaw to Manchester United transfer Saga continues and dragging the deal might not be beneficial for the Red Devils.
Southampton left back has been one of the main targets when David Moyes was in charge and he still remains the top target even after the appointment of Louis van Gaal.
The Dutch manager however is busy working with the Netherlands national side preparing them for the World Cup and perhaps that may influence the transfer deals as well.
According to Telegraph, Manchester United are likely to complete €33m move for Luke Shaw after the World Cup.
Over the past few weeks, different reports have been there regarding Luke Shaw joining United. Now even Chelsea have restored their interest in the England fullback after selling David Luiz to PSG.
The revival of Chelsea’s interest can be very dangerous for Manchester United for three main reasons that are as follows.
- Shaw is a Chelsea fan.
- Chelsea offer Champions League football while United are not even in Europe.
- Like United, Chelsea can offer him lucrative offer as well.
In such a scenario, it would be better for United to seal a deal for Shaw before the World Cup to avoid competition with other big guns.

sorry to say, but Luke Shaw is not ready, he is not good enough yet for the likes of Chelsea, Man-City and Man-U, might be okay for Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs or Everton,,,,,,,,even if he has a good World Cup !
Man-United still have Evra and Buttner at left-back, so why the need for another one AND which will cost the club 27million Pounds !!!!! this huge sum of money could be spent on a central defender or a mid-fielder where United really need improvements.
@chris: What you say is absolutely correct !!! becoz Evra with improved confidence (from manager) will be the best left back we have seen these many years.
THINGs MAN U NEED IS A CREATIVE ATTAKING MIDFIELDER like Yaya and a wonderful Defensive midfielder like Xabi Alonso who can can do pin point passes to the strikers from the “box”.
Luke Shaw not properly baked and unproven at world stage. English players are overrated and very expensive. Those funds could be used to strengthen central defence and midfield.
That is very c0rrect…..that m0ney can be used t0 buy 0ther players, that united lack..
I think it is better if man united sign luke shaw quikly because evra may leave man united after one year and buttner is not defensive minded.so luke shaw is the ideal one.
I think shaw would not make more impact in the team as a midfielder would.so man utd should concentrate on midfield and central defends signings rather shaw’s position.
Lets be honest folks…. Evra’s best days are behind him. Last season he was the worst left back in the league. Constantly central defenders were pulled out of the position, which led to Man Utd conceeding goals for no good reason. Buttner is even worse and is not Man Utd quality. Luke Shaw has been more consistant than the Evra and Buttner. Look at the way he practically marked Adnaan out of the game. He is still developing and under Van Gaal he will be able to reach the heights of ashley cole !
Luke shaw is a good player but i don’t think if he can bench Evra for that position now with Van Gaal incharge, i prefer a central defenders to replace Vidic & Ferdinand & also go for a creative midfield players
Van Gaal want 2 useless united money,we no have problem at leftback, rightback and striker, what we need is mefielder and central defence, pls van Gaal do that for us,bcos we need to be top next session.
