Brilliant News for Arsenal or Exactly the Opposite

Olivier Giroud FranceA new summer for Arsenal and another year of new hopes for the Gunners supporters that top players will be signed.
Gunners crumbled to new lows in the premier league last season and only an FA Cup win salvaged their year.
Wenger is going nowhere much to the delight of majority of Arsenal supporters who still believe in the gaffer. However, the question is, for how long?
Arsenal badly need world class players and the priority should be a top quality striker who could score 20+ league goals.
The last player to do it so for Arsenal was current Manchester United forward Robin van Persie. Since then, Giroud has been the leading striker for Gunners but in two seasons he has not shown any signs of coming close to the Dutch star.
Nevertheless, the latest news is that the French international is likely to extend his stay with the North London club. Now is that a brilliant news for Arsenal or exactly the opposite one. Giroud claimed:

“I have two years left on my contract [until June 2016] but we are in negotiations to extend. For now, I am here. There are many great things to do,”

“I feel comfortable in the Premier League. My first season not too bad, I had a pretty good second. I hope to do even better. I am progressing from year to year, the same as the team.”

He had a decent start to last season but an absolute disaster since the turn of the year as Gunners cried for a prolific goalscorer.

His stay might be joyful for some gunner supporters but even they will be hoping that Arsenal sign a World Class striker to replace Giroud in the starting XI. If that happens, it will be safe to say that the former Montpellier striker will normally find himself on the bench.
