Man United Transfers – Latest on £30m Playmaker

Manchester United have been linked with German international and Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus for a while.
Reus has been one of the best players for Dortmund over the past few years and even this season he has been sensational.
Despite Manchester United’s interest, Barcelona were considered favorites to lure the highly rated attacking midfield star.
According to Spanish source, the German club were even expecting a final offer for Reus but now that Barcelona have been handed a transfer ban, the deal is off.
In such a scenario, Manchester United must revive interest in the versatile playmaker who is productive in all attacking mid positions, may it be central or out wide.
This season, in 35 appearances for Dortmund, the £30m rated star has netted no less than 17 goals and provided 8 assists as well.
For now, United need a miracle to play CL football next season, still they are targeting top players. Whether or not Reus will like to move to Old Trafford is another matter but the real question is, do United really need another playmaker?
United have the likes of quality options in Januzaj, Mata, Rooney, Kagawa in the attacking midfield and the support of Nani, Young and Valencia as well.
May be, they do need more quality depth but David Moyes’s main priority should be reinforcing the central midfield and defense because these are the two departments that have let United down this season.
