Manchester United did not just visit Germany to play their second leg tie against the European Champions, in fact they also went to somehow strike a deal for Toni Kroos.
Kroos is United’s priority this summer and is considered the key man to solve their midfield conundrum next season.
According to reports, Manchester United will try to convince Bayern Munich that a blockbusting fee worth $67m (40 million pounds) should be enough to sign the highly talented midfield star.
As per the provided link, United’s Woodword has stayed in Germany to analyze the entire scenario regarding Kroos deal.
Rumors have been changing over the past few days. One day, Kroos wants to join, the other day he is staying and hence the transfer saga continues to drag on.
There is no doubt whatsoever that Bayern is the best place for Kroos to play as he is a regular starter in the best side in the world. However financially, Kroos is not paid what he thinks he is worth.
Therefore, there might be a chance that the player will try to use United’s approach to somehow find a better contract at Bayern.
To solve that dilemma, United are offering the mentioned hefty amount as Kroos’s contract will end in summer 2015 and Bayern will find the offer quite intriguing. On the other hand, to change the player’s mind, United are ready to offer an attractive pay package as well.
Whether Kroos will join United or not, we shall see how the saga unfolds in summer.
