With potential departures of Hernandez and Robin van Persie speculated over the media, it is likely that Manchester United may sign a new striker.
The Red Devils have been chasing Uruguayan international Edinson Cavani for a long time as his future with PSG remains in doubt.
According to Guardian, Manchester United have set their sights to sign the former Napoli star striker for £60m.
Cavani has netted 22 goals in 39 appearances for the French giants without doubt he is one of best and proven strikers around.
The Uruguayan international only signed for PSG last summer for a price of £52.7m but has normally played out of his preferred position because of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
There have been many ups and downs in the rumors linking Cavani to Manchester United but if he is available, then the Devils must splash the cash to sign him.
Whether Cavani will be interested in joining a club that will not be featuring in next season’s Champions League, we shall see.
Moreover, if he does end up at United, the Uruguayan hitman may as well start an intriguing rivalry with his compatriot and best friend Luis Suarez of Liverpool.
Suarez has been the best goalscorer this season and has taken Liverpool to new heights. Can Cavani do the same for United if he joins in summer?
